This should not be the case as this is now outdated because recently manufactured engines have made considerable strides. There is however nothing wrong that will happen to your car when you change your engine oil regularly but it will cost you more money in the end. The ideal way to come with a better estimate of how frequent to change your engine oil is by checking your car manual recommendation. This is because some cars are known to go for tens of thousands of miles before changing the engine oil.   A number of car owners also do the penny test to decide when they are going to change their tires. This is not a good way of testing treads as it may give you a misleading outcome.
