There are some good features of playing in a play money game, but none that will help improve your game. Why Play in a Play Money Game? If you have never played poker a day in your life, then playing in a play money game is a great start. It is a great place to learn the rules of the game and the structures of a game. You do not want to play poker for the first time in a real money game, because you will just be giving away money.
Until you understand the structures and the basic rules of the poker game, you are not going to be ready to focus on strategies to take it to the next level. If you are a beginner then play money games are perfect for you. Another very good reason to take place in a play money game is to get used to a specific poker room and its software. Even if you have played online poker for 10 years and you are a pro. It is really just foolish to not try out a poker room and get used to it before you deposit money and start playing for real.
