Keep Bread Fresh Naturally

Keep Bread Fresh Naturally

Keep Bread Fresh NaturallyAuthor: Mark GoldFresh bread, unless it’s loaded with preservatives, does not maintain it’s freshness for long. There are many ways people utilize to keep bread fresh but most of these will only give an extra day or two, if that. There is one proven way to extend the shelf life of bread, but first let’s look at the alternatives: The classic way is to use a bread box or bread bin. The old fashioned wooden ones tend to work better than plastic or metal ones, but they trap moisture in the air and cause it to condense in the box, actually hastening mold, and particularly plastic ones. Other popular methods are refrigeration or freezing.

Whilst refrigeration can delay molding it will accelerate the process if moisture gets trapped inside the plastic bag. Staleness (where the bread gets harder), happens wherever you keep it. Bread goes stale due to the gluten proteins knitting back together after cooking, making the bread tougher. Bread is only soft where gluten is present; when it is fresh the gluten protein strands are long and stretched. Believe it or not, bread stales much faster at lower temperatures, this results from a change in the starch fraction of wheat flour involving crystallization, or retro gradation.

If bread is stored at higher temperatures it becomes moldy much faster.

Quilting: Using Templates

Quilting: Using TemplatesAuthor: Robin HuberTemplates are patterns so to speak, only with templates you cut the materials you need from strong fabrics. Otherwise, if you were making patterns you would cut the templates from ordinary paper. At what time you create templates, you are making your quilt making process easier. The surface patterns will flow consistently as well. You can use your created templates and trace along your patterns, instead of pinning graphing paper to your quilt material.

Funny but true

I enjoyed it a lot, much of the action takes place at the hight of the Cold War which is a period of history that I have a big interest in, the writing quality is superb, the author clearly knows his profession, and.

What Is A Zit?

What Is A Zit?Author: Richard SutterSimply stated, a zit and a pimple are one in the same. In fact, the word zit, is American slang for the word pimple. Therefore, in the same way we define a pimple, a zit is a small skin inflammation or infection that arises most often because of clogged pores. There isn't anyone who is immune to having a zit. It can attack anyone. The zit is not partial to any specific age, gender, ethnicity or location. To make matters worse, a zit can appear on any part of your body, as long as skin is present.
